Brooke ~ 7 Months Old

Brooke is 7 months old and we are estimating her to weigh 20 lbs. 10 oz and measure 26 1/2 inches. During the past month Brooke has started to move. While on her belly she can now push herself backwards and in circles. She is gaining more movement each day and is able to reach for her toys. Brooke is now drinking about 28 oz of milk a day which is down from 34 oz last month. Also, while Brooke is sitting in her high chair she will reach up to be picked up.

Eating is going better but Brooke still has a tendency to lock her lips and not let anything in. We have tried sweet potatoes, squash, peas, peaches, prunes, applesauce, mangos, pears, carrots, oatmeal, and bananas. Currently she hates veggies and loves fruits. We have given her a slice of pear to gum and she loves that. I'm sure it feels good on her gums as those teeth must be coming. She is always chewing on toys and sure is drooling!! Also, Brooke loves drinking water out of her sippy cup!
Brooke is ticklish just like her mommy! If you tickle her toes or tummy you'll get a super funny giggle/laugh. Also, we found out that Brooke loves Balloons. We went to a friends birthday party and Brooke was enthralled with the balloons. Tom went and bought her a couple of pink balloons and Auntie Julie brought over a Valentine's Mylar Balloon. Brooke loved looking at herself in it.

I made Brooke a highchair/shopping cart cover! She loves to sit up and get out of that carseat. You can hook toys to it and it has pockets.
Brooke and I also had a craft day at Auntie's house with some friends and their kiddos! We made Valentines Day Cards for the Grandparents! Auntie has been busy with Brooke and Hailey this month! She has been taking them to story time and the train each week and they have also visited the Childrens Museum. Plus each week Julie brings the girls up to have lunch with me.
