Brooke ~ 19 Months

Brooke is 19 months old going on two years old or maybe the terrible two came early? Brooke is doing well with her sister but certainly has her moments of frustration with mommy. She sometimes gets very upset when I am unable to take her hand or read a book right away. She understands that I am busy with her little sister but she wants 100% of my attention.

We have been to the pool twice this month and she absoultly loves it. She also stayed with Nana and Papa Belote for three days and did great. Brooke had her 6th ear infection this month and we are now looking into seeing a specialist for tubes. We will know more towards the end of the month after her ear infection heals. Also, her sister came down with RSV which is very contagious and Brooke most likely had it too.

Brooke is talking a lot more these days and is saying more words together. She has been calling herself Brooker or Brookie and she calls her sister Avy. Some of her new words together are: let me do it, mommys turn, open a beer, Avy hungry too, mommys car and Avy too. Brooke is also learning her colors and likes to color with blue, green or purple. Brooke can open all the doors in the house and put and take things off the counter. She also loves giving kisses and hugs throughout the day to Mommy, Avery and Daddy.

Brooke still loves to read books, play with her farm, and play in her tents. She loves playing hide and seek with her daddy and lifting weights with him in the basement. Also, each saturday morning daddy takes Brooke grocery shopping to Costco and Safeway. They always have a good time together.

Brooke is officially in her big girl bed for naps and night-time! She has been going down around 7:30 to 8:00 at night and doesn't get out at all (amazing)!!! Then she wakes in the morning between 6 am to 7 am. During the day she has been either taking two naps or one longer nap in the afternoon. Some of her naps she goes right down but some take 2 or 3 times of putting her back in her bed. However, there are some days where she will just go shut the door and go to bed. Such a character.
