Brooke - 3 Years Old

Brooke is THREE years old and weighs 37.5 lbs which is in the 93% percentile and is 36.5 inches tall which is in the 37% percentile. Brooke is such a fun little girl with many expressions.

In May Brooke got her bottom two year old molars and the top two are just now starting to come through.  She is sleeping at night in her big girl bed with no rail.  The rail came down in June and she only has fallen out once.  She is still taking 1 nap per day which is about 1.5-2 hours long.  Brooke is also 100% potty trained.  She has been in big girl undies since February and we also wear big girl undies at night which started in May.  

Brooke is a smart little girl and is able to spell her name. She also has some letter recognition when she looks at words.  She can point out the letter "B", "O",  "I" and "T" and sometimes can get others too but those are definite letters she knows.  Brooke is attending the Good Shepherd Preschool and loves it.  She goes twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-11:45.  She has some great friends there and some actually live in our neighborhood.

Brooke loves to tell mommy and daddy that she loves us.  She will be either sitting on the potty, reading a book, watching a show etc and will yell "mommy - I love you" and the same to daddy.  Super cute and she says it all the time. 

Brooke has been able to get to the lake twice this year and she loves to sit up front in the boat!  She also has been able to ride in the tube and jump in the lake.  Brooke loved swimming in her life jacket and turning in circles. 

Brooke has been to the pool a couple of times this summer and loves it.  Plus, she is also taking swimming lessons at the "Y" with her cousin Hailey.

 

 

Brooke loves to play dress up at home and tries to dress Avery up as well.  She is big into playing Mommy with her babies and playing Doctor with her sister and her babies.

We have been getting outside a lot this summer and the girls love playing on the patio and in the driveway.  We have been going to lots of parks, the pool and going on walks with Daddy.  Brooke loves being outside!

While driving around to places in town Brooke will tell me where to turn or that we are going the wrong way.  She knows parts of town and what places are like: DQ, Bowling, Book Store, Walmart, Pizza Hut, Horsey Park, Pool, Costco, Daddys work and the Library.  Also, while driving around Brooke will tell me peddle on the right or peddle on the left mom!  Its funny - her Daddy taught her that one!

Brooke is all about making funny faces these days and her is one!  She loves to do silly things.

Brooke is starting to ride her bike more and more.  She can now go several feet with both of her feet off the ground and keep the bike straight.  She loves to ride it down hill as she can go "faster".  When she is riding her bike she always says "this will make my daddy so happy" or "my daddy will be so proud of me".

Brooke loves her baby sister and is always playing with her.  Sometimes they play chase, they dog pile one another, play doctor with each other and dance with one another.  Right now they are pretty good buddies!!

Lastly Brooke is getting very good at coloring and is mostly getting in the lines.  She is also choosing different colors for different sections of the picture.  Here is a recent picture she colored..
