Brooke ~ 5 Months Old

As crazy as it seems Brooke is already 5 months old, where does the time go? During the past month Brooke rolled over once, yes just once. She is in no real hurry to start moving, but that might be a good thing for mom and dad. She has the most adorable smile and cutest giggles I have ever heard. Ask her how the day went and she tell ya "dah dah dah dah dah dah dah" thats her new language these days. She is defiantly finding her voice. On top of that she is blowing raspberries all the time and a lot of spit sure does fly out. She is drooling more and more these days, so maybe we'll have some teeth in the next month or two.

She had her first viral sinus infection and she's been a trooper through it all. We have a humidifier in her room and she totally knows what the blue suction tool does. Count to three and she'll close her eyes and prepare for her nose to be worked on.

Brooke really has started to realize that Nala is a different critter. As soon as Brooke spots the cat she will watch her and not take her eyes off her. Plus when Nala gets close Brooke will grab her fur. I believe Nala is in trouble once Brooke is moving.

Brooke is eating between 4-6 oz at each feeding and is taking 1-2 longer naps during the day. We normally put her to bed around 8:30 pm and she will watch her fish tank or just fall asleep. No need to rock this one to sleep, when she is ready she is ready. She normally is awake between 6:30-7:00 am and is the happiest girl. If she wakes earlier, dad hangs out with her and mommy gets to sleep (thank you daddy). However, we are still waking up maybe 1-2 times a night to nurse. So its getting better. My estimate on her weight is around 18.5 lbs. Again, we are loving every minute with her and we are excited to start food once she hits six months.

She loves when Tom throws her up in the air or hangs her upside down from her ankles. She gets the biggest smile and laughs.!Some photos with Hailey, Auntie and mommy!
At Auntie's house - she loves playing with the toys on her toes, jumping in the johnny jumper and going for walks with Hailey.

I Love all the pictures! It's amazing how much she has changed in the last 5 months.
