Avery ~ 16 Months

Avery is 16 months old and weighs 23 1/2 lbs and has weighed this much for the last three months! During this last month she has an ear infection in her right ear and that was her third one total. We are lucky that she hasn't had many over the winter!

Avery loves to follow Brooke around the house or they play "catch me". Avery just laughs and tries to keep up with Brooke. She just loves her big sister. Plus they always are dog piling each other.

Riding the rocking horse.
Playing peek-a-boo in her high chair.

Reading a book.
Avery is talking so much but she is still very hard to understand. Some additional words include, baby, book, up, Play, elmo, down, nana, papa, bubble, hi, bye, all-gone, shoe and side for "outside". She also is starting to copy words that you say too. I would guess she has 10-15 words total in her vocabulary now. Doing a craft for Easter... Her hand print and now putting cotton balls on to make a sheep.Avery now has four teeth and the top right tooth came through on march 22. Her top two lateral incisor teeth are very close to coming in next.

Avery has a pretty routine schedule and goes down around 7:30 at night and wakes between 6:30-7:00am each day. Her first am nap starts around 9 and is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours long. Her second nap is around 1:30 and is about 1 hour to 1.5 hours long. Avery still eats most things or at least will try them. Her favorites are yogurt, banana's, corn, pears, cottage cheese. She won't eat grapes or blueberries! Lastly bath time is probably her favorite part of Sundays and Wednesday, she just loves them!

Playing at the park.

While we are driving in the car we listen to kid music most of the time. Avery can kinda sing along with the songs such as Twinkle Twinkle little star, row row your boat and the Wheels on the bus. She mostly knows the last word in each phrase!

Playing in the tent.
Having a snack and looking outside!
Playing on the bike in the driveway.
