Brooke Update ~ 3 1/2 Years Old

Brooke is 3 1/2 years old and weighs 38 lbs and is 38 1/2 inches tall..  Brooke has grown TWO inches since her 3rd Birthday! WOW, we are getting so big....  She is changing so much and has a fun little personality.

Brooke has had a busy winter so far with soccer tots, skiing, sledding and her school...  Brooke was involved in Soccer tots for 16 weeks and LOVED it.  You could continue to see her progress and she loved her coach.   Currently we are taking her and Avery skiing and she is getting very excited about skiing by herself.  We have hit the slops three times this January and hope to get up many more.  And sledding for us is like almost an everyday occurrence as its so nice to have the sledding hill right by our home.  Lastly, Brooke is going to school twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays and she has a lot of great friends there and is learning so much.  Plus, her little sister has joined her at school and she thinks its GREAT.

Brooke has been pretty healthy for the most part but her ear tubes have finally fallen out and yes we have already had two ear infections within 1 month.  Hopefully we don't get anymore otherwise we maybe headed back to a specialist.

Brooke is still continuing to take naps and they are anywhere from 1-2 hours a day.  She is going to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 7:00.  Some days she says she doesn't need a nap but falls asleep within minutes while she is laying in bed reading a book  AND, we haven't had a potty accident since last spring during the day.  Otherwise she has been dry at night since January 2012!  Such a big girl..

Brooke is becoming more independent on what she wants to wear or how she wants her hair.  First, she refuses to wear cloths with buttons! Its very different to get her in ANYTHING with them.  Even if the button is just decoration she won't wear it.  I would love any advice form anyone on how to get past this.  Its so frustrating.   Plus she pretty much lives in her pink cupcake dress while we are at home.  She LOVES It.  Not sure what we will do once it doesn't fit its one of her favorites.

Brooke is doing great with Avery and they have alot of fun with each other.  However, they defiantly have their moments of frustration.  But one of the cutest things Brooke says is  "That Avery is a cute little one" and it just melts my heart the way she says it.  Love my little Brooke so much..

I have been working with Brooke at home with her letters in her name and this is where we are at.  But most days she writes it out backwards but is getting better at it each week. She defiantly knows her alphabet and all her letters.

Brooke loves mac n cheese, P&J sandwiches, soup, and most fruit.  When eating she will say yum this is delish.  We still struggle with her eating at the table while we are all sitting down.  She likes to procrastinate and take her own sweet little time.  Plus, its hard to even get breakfast into her! Lastly she always has to say "wait let me tell you something" before you help her with medicine, potty, eating, etc..

Here are just a few fun photos of Brooke over the past three months!!
