Brooke ~ Update 2 1/2 years Old

Brooke is now 2 ½ years old and is such a fun little girl. She weighs 34 lbs and is around 35 inches tall. During the last three months she finally got her canine teeth and now we just need those 2 year molars to come through. Brooke has been doing great with potty training but being sick in December pushed us backwards. However, we are moving forward again and she loves putting stickers up each time. School has even us told us to send her in big girl undies several times.

Brooke is doing very well at school and will come home talking about Jesus and bible camp. She loves her friends especially Parker and Emma and she talks about them all the time. Also during December Brooke was able to participate in her School Christmas program and did great. We were so happy that she was able to go, plus cousin Hailey sat right next to her.

Over the past 3 months Brooke has started to sing songs and actually knows quite a few. Her favorite song to sing would be the Lion King - hakuna matata. Other songs include itsy bitsy spider, Santa Clause coming to town, giggle bells, Happy Birthday and oh yes the bean song! Also, this past month Brooke was able to go to her first movie at the theaters. Daddy, Mommy and Brooke went to Beauty and the Beast and she just loved it...

Here are some things that Brooke says:
1. Avery is crying, I better go give her a hug
2. Out in the garage I will go get it
3. That silly Hailey
4. I have toe jam in my toes
5. That’s a good idea
6. That’s pretty beautiful
7. That’s delicious mom
8. I have a tummy ache
9. I just yawned but am not tired
10. My best cousins are Hailey and Raegan
11. Me want to dance like a ballerina – spin, spin
12. Avery’s getting my snack, I better sit on the couch

Brooke is all about matching different things these days. If her fork matches her shirt she gets excited and will tell me. If her fork doesn't match her plate she will ask for one that does. She will tell me when she matches Avery - like her pants, shirt, bib etc. She also loves to point out colors while we are in the car. Like the yellow school bus, Walmart is blue and what color the stop lights are.

Brooke just loves when she hears the garage door open up and knows that daddy is home. She is always waiting for him to come through the door. Daddy always tries to sneak Brooke candy and he will tell her "dont tell mommy"... Well Brooke will put it in her mouth and then run over and show me. Daddy can’t get away with sneaking treats to Brooke very well.

Lastly, Brooke just loves giving big hugs and kisses to everyone when they leave. Brooke amazes us each and every day with different things she says or does. We love our little girl so much!!
We go back into the Doctor for a follow-up of her Kawasaki Disease on Jan 31st. I will post a blog update to keep everyone posted. Thanks..
